Opening up the Memberships Interface

Login to your Administrator account, you should be viewing the dashboard by default once you've logged in successfully.

Look towards the left-hand sidebar and hover over WooCommerce and then choose the option Memberships. Once loaded, you'll now be on the Memberships interface as seen here.

Members

The Members section allows you to Add Members as you would do when adding a user to a membership, though we recommend this is completed via the user's profile as seen in the following guide.

Membership Plans

The important tab within Memberships is the Membership Plans as this area allows you to create the different Membership Plans for different Trade Customers. To get started with creating a Membership Plan choose Add Membership Plan as seen here, once the interface has loaded please following each tab accordingly as seen below.
General

Membership Title
Choose the Membership Title required for this plan. For example, you could choose Trade Customer 10% Off as seen here.

Slug
The Slug is very simple, take the previously used Membership Title and copy it into the Slug field. Then readjust the Slug so that it's not capitalised, and contains only letters, numbers, and hyphens when choosing to have more than two words for your Membership Title. For example, in my case, it would be trade-customer-10-off as seen here.

Grant access upon
Please leave these settings as default.

Membership Length
Please leave these settings as default.

At this point, I would recommend Publishing the changes using the option seen here and then come back to the Purchasing Discounts afterward.

Restrict Content

The Restrict Content tab is not required during or after the setup of a Membership Plan and as such we do not recommend making changes here.

Restrict Products

The Restrict Products tab is not required during or after the setup of a Membership Plan. We typically like to default to our category visibility options as the current functionality would remove the products completely from view which doesn't always work in the scenario that you may want.

Purchasing Discounts

To begin setting up a Purchasing Discount for your Membership Plan please choose the option Add New Discount as seen here.

Discount
The Discount column seen here refers to your ability to choose what you'd like the discount to run on. I would recommend choosing either Product Categories or Products. Product Categories will work best if you have a number of products that are the same with one whole category. Products will work if you have a couple of products that are one-off discounts.

Title
The Title column seen here allows you to choose either the Product Category or Product that this should apply to. You can set up multiple Product Categories and Products for one whole discount.

Type
The Type column seen here refers to the Type of Discount you'd like to apply. Either Percentages or Flat Amount will work and is more a personal preference. I typically tend to use percentages however a Flat Amount will work as well.

Amount
The Amount column seen here refers to the amount you'd like to discount by. In my case, I'd like to discount by 10% and as such, I had entered the value 10, the percentages will only work to 2 decimal places.

Active
The Active column seen here allows you to turn the Membership Discount on and off.

I recommend trying to keep the Discounts to a minimum where possible, we understand some of our clients have larger category & product structures than others but overloading this discount section with 50+ rows of data can begin to cause some problems with slowness. Keep them together if possible.

Members Area

The Members Area is not required for the setup or afterward either. We highly recommend the sections chosen by default stay the same.

Email Content

The Email Content Tab is unnecessary to configure as WordPress and our approval system will send out the appropriate emails required to Trade Customers.

Import / Export

The Import / Export tab seen on this interface should never be used. If you'd ever like to export the users from a specific plan or if you'd like to import bulk users to a specific membership role then we highly recommend contacting us and we can provide further information on what is required in order for us to do this.
